Recently, Sonali Bendre also shared an anecdote related to one such iconic song. We are talking about the iconig song ‘Jo Hall Dil Ka’ of the blockbuster film ‘Sarfarosh’. In this song, Aamir Khan was seen romancing in the rain with Sonali Bendre. Now the actress has made many revelations related to the shooting of this song.
Mountains surrounded by mist and a song shot in rain
In a conversation with Bollywood bubble, Sonali told how she shot this song in cold weather for ten consecutive days in the mountains surrounded by Panhala’s mist and that too in real rain. Sonali says- “We were actually shooting in the real rain, it was not a lie rains. It was so cold that the crew had to adopt an old trick to stay warm. We used to rub brandy on our feet, so that we could be hot.”
The rain continued till the last day of shooting
Sonali laughed at how she kept raining till the last day of shooting of this song and she was very tired of it. The actress said- ‘I jokingly told her that from now on, if there is any rain song in any film, then I should be told before the film signed.’ After this, Sonali Bendre also shared ‘Sarfarosh’ and other stories related to Aamir Khan.
Aamir had to wear shirts with Sonali’s clothes
Talking about a photo with Aamir Khan from the set, Sonali told how her costume impressed Aamir’s wardrobe. Sonali said that designer Ashli, along with director John Matthew Maithon and cinematographer Matthew, made a very careful plan for the film’s visual look. Sonali says, “In the entire film, Aamir used to wear shirts matching the color of my clothes.”

Talking about Sarfarosh, the film, directed by John Matthew Maithon, was released in 1999. Sonali Bendre was in the lead role with Aamir Khan in Sarfarosh and actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Mukesh Rishi were also in an important role in the film. Apart from these actors, actors like Makarand Deshpande, Rajesh Joshi, Smita Jayakar and Upasana Singh were also part of the film. The story of the film is based on an honest police officer and his mission, who puts his life at stake to end terrorism and illegal weapons trade across India. ‘Sarfarosh’, full of strong story and patriotism, was a big hit.
