Strictness regarding crime control: identity of sluggish officers – Director General of Police Vinay Kumar:
Patna. In the second session of the workshop organized by the Crime Research Department, Bihar Director General of Police Vinay Kumar gave an important message. He said in clear terms that complete control of crime is necessary and for this, laxity will not be accepted at any level.
Emphasis on sensitivity and activity
Addressing Additional Superintendent of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police level officials in this workshop, Vinay Kumar said that in the current perspective, all necessary resources – human forces, vehicles and technical resources have been provided in the current context. Now the need is that all the police officers should work in their respective areas with full vigilance and activeness.
He gave clear instructions that there should be quick investigation in serious criminal cases and the process of punishing criminals should be expedited. The public’s confidence in the police can be restored only when criminals are seen punishing.
Negligent officers will be identified
Kumar, while giving a strong message in his statement, said that the officers who are being relaxed in the works are being identified. Disciplinary action will be taken soon on such officers. Negligence on serious subjects like crime control will not be tolerated at all.
Dignified presence of senior officials
Additional Director General of Police (Crime Research Department) Parasnath and Inspector General of Police (Crime Research) Daljit Singh were also present on the occasion. The presence of these senior officials made the workshop more effective.
