Student who died on fire in college, CM confidence in action
The student died during treatment in AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
Balasore: A student of Fakir Mohan College, located in Balasore, Odisha, set herself on fire due to harassment. The student was admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar in critical condition, where she died late on Monday night. According to the information, the student was brought to the ICU of AIIMS Burns Center at 5:15 pm on July 12 after being referred from Balasore District Headquarters Hospital. As soon as he arrived, the doctors started emergency treatment and in view of the seriousness of his condition, he was being given antibiotics and was kept on ventilator. Despite intensive care and advanced medical interventions, the student could not be saved. AIIMS officials have confirmed that they were declared dead at 11:46 pm on 14 July.
Deputy CM met family members
At the same time, after the death of the student in AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said, “As soon as we got the news, we came to meet her (victim) family, doctors and everyone. It is very sad that we all could not save them together. The government will take strict action against all the people involved in this. The matter will be thoroughly investigated. Strict action will be taken against all the people involved.”

At the same time, Odisha CM Mohan Majhi expressed condolences on the death of a student of FM College. He wrote on ‘X’, “I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the death of Fakir Mohan Autonomous College student. Despite all the efforts of the government and the tireless efforts of the expert medical team, the student’s life could not be saved. I pray to Lord Jagannath to give the power to his family to tolerate this irreparable damage. I will assure all the convicts of this matter to the family that I will give a strong decoration to the student’s family. The government is fully stacked with the family in this regard.
Congress and BJD demonstrated
At the same time, after the death of the student, politics has also become hot. Congress and BJD have started a sit-in demonstration. The activists demonstrated outside the AIIMS about the matter. At the same time, Principal and HOD of FM College has been arrested. The case is being investigated.
