Kashyap’s comment was associated with the recent deal between Ekta Kapoor and Netflix, in which shows are being made in partnership with Balaji Telefilms. Anurag wrote- ‘Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos feels that it was not the right decision to start with’ Sacred Games’ in India. Perhaps a more popular show worked more. If he gets a chance again, he would start with the mother-in-law Serial and is doing the same now. Ekta Kapoor did not remain silent on this stance of Anurag. He reacted sharply to his Instagram story and called Anurag ‘classist’ and ‘stupid’. Ekta further wrote that those who consider family stories and mother-in-law’s drama as ‘low class’, in fact they want to make themselves look better than others.
