Successful trial of Namo India on the entire corridor of Delhi-Meerut, Sarai Kale Khan from Modipuram
NCRTC (National Capital Region Transport Corporation) successfully completed the trial run on the entire route of the Namo Bharat train between Sarai Kale Khan and Modipuram on Monday. Namo Bharat Train completed the 82 -km journey between Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan to Modipuram in Meerut in less than an hour. NCRTC said that during the trial run, Namo Bharat trains as well as Meerut Metro trains were also running and the system performed well. During the trial run, trains stopped at every station from Sarai Kale Khan to Modipuram and covered a full distance in less than an hour, following the time table made by NCRTC.
Namo Bharat Train lasted at a top operational speed of 160 kmph
The trial run by NCRTC is an important milestone in the operation of India’s first Namo Bharat Corridor connecting Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut. During the trial, Namo Bharat trains ran at a top operational speed of 160 kmph throughout the 82 km section. Advance ETCS Level 3 hybrid signaling system posted on LTE backbone on the corridor, which is the first in the world, performed amazing with platform screen door (PSD) installed at every station. NCRTC said that it outlines the readiness of the successful trial run system and reflects a significant progress towards the complete commissioning of the entire corridor.
Operation has started in two different stages
The first station of Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Rapid Train Corridor will be Jungpura in Delhi and the last station will be the Modipuram depot of Meerut. Let us tell you that this corridor has been started in two different stages so far. In the first phase it was started from Sahibabad to Meerut South. After which in the second phase, Namo India entered Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off from New Ashok Nagar in Delhi to Sahibabad Stretch. Let us tell you that Indian Railways and Delhi’s major railway station- Anand Vihar is also in this stretch.
