Punjabi singer Daler Henna is celebrating his 58th birthday today. On this special occasion, fans including film stars have congratulated him on his birthday. Daler Henna is a Bhangra/pop singer from India. Henna was a traditional Punjabi music student and his first album broke sales records in India. Since 1995, he has recorded many highly successful albums in India and has also sung songs in many Bollywood films. Music learning from the age of 6 years

Born in Patna and raised as a Sikh, he began singing at the age of 6 and his parents taught him raga and words from Guru Granth Sahib. At the age of fourteen, he spent three years to enhance his voice and learn Tabla, Dholak, Harmonium and Tanpura from Gorakhpur’s late Ustad Rahat Ali Khan Saheb. It then moved to Henna San Francisco, the United States and worked as a cab driver in 1991 before returning to India and building a band. Initially, he sang ghazals inspired by the poet Qatil Shifi and Firaq Gorakhpuri. In 1992, he had a car accident in which a person was injured who was taken to Henna Hospital. Mehndi was sued after this accident.

Speak Ta Ra Ra album made star

Mehndi eventually turned to pop music from classical music and in 1995, his first album ‘Bolo Ta Ra Ra’, which had tunes based on songs given by his mother, sold five million copies in four months and 2 crore copies in total, making it the most sold non-quarttq album in Indian music history. He received the Voice of Asia International Ethnic and Pop Music Contest in 1994. He won the Best Male Pop Singer Award for Channel V, which he received in 1996 for Rab Rab Rab and in 1997 for Bale Bale. He appeared in Mritaudata and Arjun Pandit films. His success helped him to make a record-tot deal with his record company Magnasound for Rs 20.5 million. He has also been a guest artist in the new Indian version of Sems Street, Gali SIM SIM.

Tuntak Tunak made a buzz in the market

The song of his album is making a splash on the internet. The creed was followed by the music video of Mehndi’s song Tunak Tunak Tun, often called Tunak, who gained popularity due to the wild dance of Daler Mehndi and for which many tributes and parodies were made. Mehndi originally conceived this music video, in which he dances with his clone, in response to the statement by the media that he is popular only because of models in his video. Tuntak was the first music video to use bluecrine technology in India.
