Posting on Instagram, Veda Krishnamurthy wrote, “The girl from Chhoti Town with big dreams. From Kadur’s quiet streets to proud to wear India’s jersey. This game gave me, happiness, pain, purpose and family everything. Today I am saying goodbye to play, but not cricket.”
Veda further wrote, “Thank you to my family, fellow players, coaches, friends and all the supporters behind the scene. And for the fans, your love matters far more than far away than far as you will know. I am ready to give something back to the game that gave me life. I have played with fire and pride in my heart. Always for the team.
