Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja are in the news these days. Recently, Sunita spoke openly on the rumors of the ongoing divorce in her newly launched YouTube Vlog. Not only this, he has given another statement that has created a stir on the Internet. This statement is related to the nickname that Govinda calls him lovingly, but who “disturbs” Sunita.
What did Govinda not do special?
Sunita Ahuja made a shocking disclosure in an interview to instant Bollywood. He said- “Govinda has not made me feel very special till now. Just calls me ‘gold’ with love, then I go crazy.”
He also told what Govinda likes the most about him. In Sunita’s words- “They still say that I am a child. Now I am 55, from which angle do I look like a child? And I say that if I am a child, don’t take me in your lap.”
Rumors of 38 years marriage and divorce
Govinda and Sunita have been married for 38 years. But for some time, news of rift in their relationship has been continuously coming. Sunita had earlier also told that she has been celebrating her birthday alone for the last 12 years. He also said that his distance from Govinda is due to his busyness and habit of speaking more. These statements gave more air to the divorce speculation.

Divorce and court counseling
Initially, Sunita’s team rejected these reports. It is said that in February 2025, Sunita applied for divorce six months ago.
Since June 2025, both have been joining the court-directed counseling sessions. According to reports, Sunita goes physically for counseling, while Govinda takes part. Recently, Govinda’s manager and Govinda’s daughter has described the divorce words as baseless.
