The popular superhero Superman has been rebooted. Now these characters are being introduced in superhero films by keeping them closer to the common man. Superman’s latest film presents a superman who is idealistic, but is also a person surrounded by confusion. The film does not make pomp as before, but gives a place to think and think.
This time Superman neither protects the world from power nor is he seen flying or beating all the time. The film is based on the existence of Superman, its roots, its identity and human duality.
It is a philosophy superhero, who also questions about its existence. This change can be slightly seen to the audience who have seen some different style of superheroes so far.
Directed by James Gun, Superman (2025) is not just a superhero film, but it is the story of the rebirth of DC Universe. The film states that when an iconic character is re -coined, it also looks new and also connects emotionally.
Superman (David Koresvet) stepped in front of the world with his forces three years ago and became a reporter in the Daily Planet in Metropolis and is working with Lois Lane (Rechhel Brasnahan) and Jimmy Olson (Skyler Gissono). Lois is her girlfriend and knows she is Superman.
When Superman prevents Boravia’s army from attacking Jarhanpur, ‘Hammer of Boravia’ loses for the first time and goes to the Fortress of Solitud and heals himself with the help of Crypto. The Lex Luther (Nicholas Halt) provokes people by gathering evidence against him, which surrenders himself to save Superman Crypto.
Luther sends him to a pocket dimensions jail, where Metamorpho returns his strength. Together, the two rescue Crypto and Metamorpho’s son. Lois and Mr. Terefic together liberate the prisoners.
In the end, Superman Luther’s conspiracies reveal that he was not only selling weapons to Boravia, but was also a partner in the attack in exchange for the land of Jarahanpur. Luther has to confess his crime.
What will happen next in the story of James Gun does not have to be very minded. Anyway, the stories of superhero are almost similar and it is about treatment.
The film has been kept away from the bangles and the emphasis on simplicity. Some audiences may complain to the film’s slow pace or low action, especially those who expect the defeated superhero drama.
The director’s emphasis on emotional and philosophy scenes is more than action. It is not a fast -moving film but has a stagnation.
However, there are some scenes that arise in the audience like people of Jarahanpur ask for help from Superman, some scenes of Crypto and Superman are also excellent.
David Koresvate has played the dual role of both Clarke Kent and Superman in a very restrained manner. He has put more emphasis on presenting his character as a common man.
Rechhel Brasnahan has given a new energy to the character of Lois Lane. She is not just a romantic interest, but a curious, fast journalist who also challenges Clarke Kent and also to Superman.
Supporting cast is excellent.
The cinematography of the film is really fantastic and it is a great experience to see it on the big screen. The background score makes emotions even more impressive in the film.
It is not a full action entertainer but a film of Philosophy Superhero.
