Senior actor Sunil Shetty has recently revealed that his daughter Athiya Shetty has said goodbye to the film world. Athiya made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with Salman Khan’s production film Hero, in which Suraj Pancholi was also seen with her. After this, she did two more films like Mubarakan and Motichur Shatachaur, but all three films were neither specially appreciated nor did they do special wonders at the box office. In an interview to Times Now, Sunil Shetty said that Athiya decided to stay away from films because she now wants to fully adopt a new and special stage of her life.

Sunil said, ‘After Motichur Shatia, Athiya got several film offers, but she was not interested in them. He told me clearly that Baba, I do not want to do this and she just left. I appreciate this honesty and clarity of him. ‘ He further said, ‘Today she is playing the most beautiful role of her life, which is of a mother. And she is living this new chapter wholeheartedly. On 24 March 2025, Athiya Shetty and her husband Indian cricketer KL Rahul welcomed their first child. Athiya gave birth to a cute daughter, which she has named. This name means ‘Gift of God’.

In the picture, KL Rahul is seen with his newborn daughter in her lap, while Athiya is looking at her with loving eyes. In the caption of the post, it was written, ‘Our baby girl, our everything. God-God gift. ‘ For the announcement of this special name, he chose KL Rahul’s 33rd birthday, which has become even more special for this family.

Let me tell you, Athiya did only four films in his small career. Athiya was launched by Salman Khan with the film ‘Hero’. In this film, she was seen opposite Suraj Pancholi. The film was released in 2015. Two years later, she appeared in Arjun Kapoor’s film ‘Mubarakan’. She then worked in ‘Nawabzade’ in 2018 and after that she was last seen in ‘Motichur Saganchur’.
