In the Supreme Court, advocate Kapil Sibal appeared on behalf of Ashoka University Associate Professor Ali Khan. Questioning the language of Ali Khan’s post, the Supreme Court said that “We are very educated. You could have spoken in a very simple language without hurting others. You could use words that were simple and respectable.”
Supreme Court imposed conditions
The Supreme Court has created a SIT of 3 IPS officers to investigate the entire case. The Supreme Court has given instructions to Professor Ali Khan Mahmudabad and directed that he will not write any online article or speech related to both the posts under the purview of investigation. Instructions to join the investigation
The Supreme Court has barred Professor Ali Khan from making any comments about terrorist attacks on India’s soil or the retaliation given by India. The Supreme Court has ordered the formation of a SIT with three IPS officers, including a female officer who will be outside the state. The Supreme Court has directed to complete the formation of SIT within 24 hours and asked the professor to join the investigation and fully cooperate in the investigation.
