Actress Surveen Chawla, who is known for her strong performance and innocent smile in a web series like ‘Rana Naidu’, recently recalled the most difficult phase of her career in an interview. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, he told how there was a time when disgusting trends like casting couch were seen in the industry as trends.

Surveen says, “There was a time when there was talk of casting couch everywhere. Getting out also felt dirty. It seemed that I could not do all this. I started feeling like leaving the industry.”

Punishment for saying ‘Na’: Surveen washed away from work

Surveen also stated in this interview that when he set his limits and denied wrong agreements, he had to bear the brunt of it. He said, “Every time when I said ‘no’ or stayed on my principles, I did not get any role. Many times it felt as if the path is over here. But I did not give up. But it was the lowest point of my career.”

Learned from rejection, became stronger rather than bending

Earlier in an exclusive interview to Zoom, Surveen had said that he never allowed the casting couch or rejection to dominate his mind. He said, “I recently told my six -year -old daughter how many auditions I have been rejected. Rejections are part of life and we should become stronger like a rock. Although it is easy to say, but experiences make us strong.”
