Dino Moriya appeared in front of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday in the sweet river cleaning scam case. Earlier, he was supposed to be presented on the previous day i.e. Wednesday, but due to personal reasons he could not appear. In this episode, he got today’s time and he has reached the office to appear before the ED. The case was mainly registered by the EOW of the Mumbai Police, alleging fraud, affecting contracts and factionalism by contractors, causing a loss of about Rs 65 crore to BMC. Last week, ED officials searched the accused in the case by Dino Moriya’s residence and EOW. He had earlier appeared in the Economic Offenses Branch Office with his brother on 26 May.
Raids conducted on Dino Moriya’s house
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided Dino Moriya’s house in Maharashtra on 6 June on the sweet river cleaning scam. The houses of contractors and BMC officials involved in this scam were raided. Significantly, the Mumbai Police had registered a case in the sweet river cleaning scam, after which the ED has also started a parallel investigation into the matter. The scam is 65 crores and there are a total of 13 accused in the case. The raids included Bollywood actor Dino Moriya, BMC Assistant Engineer Prashant Ramugade and the houses of several contractors.

Let us know that the ‘Mithi River Scam’ is associated with the sale and purchase of sluds used by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the cleaning of the sweet river in Maharashtra. It is alleged that these machines were rented at high prices from Kochi -based company Matpopop Technical Services Private Limited and had heavy financial irregularities.
