Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Saheb’s discourse in Chennai: Sun, soul and light on the power of mutual connection
Just as sunlight connects everyone by crossing the distance, similarly the light of humanity also works to connect each other
Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Saheb, the religious leader of the worldwide Dawoodi Bohra community, today gave the eighth discourse of Ashra Mubaraka. In his series of discourses focused on celestial bodies for the last few days, he spoke in detail on the importance of the sun on this day and explained how it connects the entire creation with its life -long light and energy.
Syedna Saheb explained that as the sunlight connects everyone by crossing the huge distances of space, the light of humanity also works to cross the language, culture and geographical boundaries and connect people to each other.
He said that we should build bridges, not walls, bridges that increase mutual understanding and cooperation within individuals and in society. The Sun is a universal adding, and its energy makes us realize our common life and dependence on each other.
He further said that in religious ideology, especially in Fatimi philosophy, the Sun is compared to the guide of religion, such as Imam Ali, whose knowledge and understanding the light of ignorance removes the darkness of ignorance and fills energy in spiritual life.
Syedna Saheb gave examples from history and told how knowledge not only maintains faith, but also shows the way in difficult times.
He also encouraged the society about business and employment. Trade in Islam has been encouraged and the Dawoodi Bohra community is also identified for entrepreneurship and business skills.
