India A entertained the fans with his batting on the last day of the second unofficial Test match in Northampton on Monday 9 June. This second practice match was a second practice match draw thanks to the unbeaten 90 -run innings of the Fantush Kotian and the brilliant half -century (51*) of Anshul Kamboj. India A batted most of the day and gave England Lions a target of 439 runs.

India A threw a total of 11 overs in the final innings of the match and took 3 wickets for 32 runs. With this, the matches played between India A and England Lions came to an end, where they got a draw in both unofficial Tests. However, on the last day of the match, India received another star performance as Tanush Kotian.

Taking advantage of the circumstances, the Kotian scored an unbeaten 90 off 108 balls with 10 fours. The Mumbai all -rounder shared an unbeaten partnership of 149 runs for the eighth wicket after no wickets were received in the post -lunch session. Kamboj also took full advantage of his time against the tired bowling attack and played a concrete innings. With his batting, Kotian has given another option to the team management that he can play the role of a spin all -rounder.

Earlier in the innings, Abhimanyu Ishwaran and KL Rahul performed brilliantly on the third day of the game and disappointed the Lions’ attack. Ishwaran scored 80 runs while Rahul was dismissed immediately after scoring his half -century. In the match, KL Rahul emerged as a clear winner among the rest of the Indian stars. The senior batsman prepared for the England series with two magnificent innings in both innings.

At the same time, Ishwaran is in the race for third place with Karun Nair and Sai Sudarshan. Talking about the fast bowlers, Khalil Ahmed took 4 wickets in the first innings of the match and took 4 wickets. Apart from Khalil, Kamboj also performed brilliantly and bowled some of the best balls to England’s left -handed batsmen. Kamboj took four wickets in all innings in this match and the kind of bowling he may have got some more wickets.
