When will the new rules apply for Tatkal ticket from counter
There are going to be significant changes in the system amidst the fierce of Tatkal tickets. Railways hope that these changes will eliminate the rigging in the Tatkal ticket booking system. Under the new rules being implemented from July 15, OTP authentication will be required to book Tatkal tickets from the railway counter. That is, from July 15, when you go to book Tatkal tickets from the railway counter, then an OTP will come on your phone number. Your ticket will be booked only after feeding the OTP on your mobile on the system.
Agents will be able to book tickets only 30 minutes after opening the window immediately
Apart from this, OTP authentication will also be necessary to book Tatkal tickets through the agent. While booking the Tatkal ticket from the agent, you also have to keep in mind that the ticket agent will be able to book tickets for you only after 30 minutes of opening the booking. Let us tell you that the booking window opens at 10.00 am and non-AC class at 11.00 am to book Tatkal tickets in AC class. According to the rules, agents will be able to book AC ticket at 10.30 am and non-AC tickets at 11.30 am. In addition, Aadhaar Authority will be mandatory for booking Tatkal tickets online.
