Team India made a special World record in Test cricket, this happened for the first time in 93 years of history
India vs england 1st Test Stats Review: During the first Test match between India and England at the Handingley Stadium in Leeds, the record was made which had never happened in India’s 93 -year Test history. In the second innings for India during the fourth day game, KL Rahul scored 137 runs in 247 balls and Rishabh Pant scored 118 runs in 140 balls.
In the first innings of this match, captain Shubman Gill scored 147 runs, Pant 134 runs and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 101 runs. This is the first time in Test history when the Indian team has scored five centuries in a Test match.
Apart from this, Team India has jointly reached number one in terms of scoring the most centuries in a Test match. Earlier, Australia, Pakistan, England, Sri Lanka teams have done five centuries in a Test.
Significantly, on the basis of Rahul and Pant’s century, the Indian team scored 364 runs in the second innings and due to the lead in the first innings, England have given a target of 371 runs to win. By the end of the fourth day’s play, England have scored 21 runs without any loss and there is a need of 350 runs on the fifth and last day to win.
In the first innings, India scored a huge score of 471 runs, in response to which England scored 465 runs.
