According to the PTI news agency report, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Washington Sundar, the famous Krishna, Ryan Parag and Dhruv Jurael will not travel with Team India for the Asia Cup. All these players are not the Indian squad but part of the Standby team. A BCCI source reported that the standby players with the Indian squad for the Asia Cup will not be dye for Dubai.
Team India will practice in Dubai from 5 September
A senior BCCI official told PTI on the condition of anonymity, “All the players will reach Dubai by the evening of September 4 and Team India’s first net session will be in the ICC Academy on 5 September. The players will be allowed to come to Dubai from their respective cities keeping in mind the logistics facility.”
He added, “Obviously, some players will fly from Mumbai but it is not prudent for some players to come to Mumbai first and then to Dubai. Anyway, Dubai flights take less time than other international flights.”
