In the race to become the coach of the Indian women’s cricket team, former Mumbai coach Amol Majumdar, who had applied for the post, is seen at the forefront. Actually the post of coach is vacant since December 2022. Ever since Ramesh Powar has been asked to be shifted to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. For this, applications are being sought by the BCCI, where Amol Majumdar seems to have the upper hand at the moment.

Amol Majumdar has also coached the National Cricket Academy and was appointed as the coach of Mumbai 2 seasons back. He won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy to Mumbai as a coach.
