Tech companies playing with the privacy of users, now Amazon will be sued

Big tech companies like Facebook, Google are playing with the privacy of users and action is also being taken on them. It has now added the name of another popular technology and e-commerce company Amazon. Class action is being prepared against Amazon in the US court. On Monday, July 7, the Federal Judge has asked Amazon’s quude -based voice service to prosecute millions of users of Alexa in a violation of privacy.
Users’ interests are taken care of
American District Judge Robert Lesnik said that Alexa’s users have completed the legal limit of a court order to prosecute nationwide sue for financial damage and to prevent alleged privacy violations. This lawsuit has been done keeping in mind the interests of millions of users who are using one or more Alexa devices.
Amazon has violated Washington’s Consumer Protection Rules, in which users’ voice recordings have been done for their commercial advantage. Amazon has not commented in this case at the moment. Class action will be done on Amazon instead of one individual user.
Violation of privacy
Let us know that Amazon launched its voice assistant tool Alexa in 2014. It responds to the voice command of virtual assistant users. As soon as users give Hi Alexa, Wake or any voice command, it responds to the user. The court said that Amazon has designed this technology so that crores of personal things can be intercepted.
The tech company was filed in 2021 for privacy violation by Alexa. However, Amazon has also said many times before that no such evidence has been found, in which it can be known that Alexa listens to the personal things or any kind of conversation of the users. The company claims that Alexa has been designed in such a way that it can accidentally protect the privacy of users about the activate.
