Telangana BJP MLA T Raja Singh resigned from the party membership on Monday. Goshamahal MLA T Raja left the primary membership of the BJP, expressing strong displeasure over the news of former MLC Ramchander Rao making Telangana BJP president.

T. Raja has sent his resignation to BJP Telangana State President G Kishan Reddy. He wrote that many people are silent, it should not be considered their consent. This is a shock for millions of workers. T Raja appealed to the central leadership to reconsider his decision.

In Telangana, nominations are being made for the BJP President election today. Ramchander has enrolled with supporters. No other leader has enrolled so far. In such a situation, Ramchander’s name is likely to be announced on July 1 as the chairman.

On the other hand, T Raja, who is expressing displeasure in the name of Ramchander, has been suspended from the party in 2022. The suspension was withdrawn in October 2023. He has been elected MLA from Goshamahal three times. T. Raja Singh has 105 criminal cases, out of which 18 are related to communal offenses.

T Raja has been famous for controversial statements

Comment on Prophet Mohammed in 2022: T. Raja Singh allegedly made objectionable remarks against Prophet Mohammed in a video, after which there were widespread protests in Hyderabad. As a result, he was arrested on 23 August 2022 and the BJP suspended him from the party. However, he got bail on the same day, but was arrested again on 25 August as he released another disputed video violating the conditions of bail.
Statement at Ram Navami rally in 2023: T. Raja Singh made a controversial statement during the Ram Navami rally in Hyderabad, in which he said that if India becomes a Hindu nation, only those who follow the policy of two children would have the right to vote. The police registered a case against him for this statement.
Statement on Hindutva in 2023: In September 2023, T. Raja Singh said in a speech that anyone who looks at Hindutva will “cut his neck”. This statement again gave rise to controversy.
Speech in Dhar in 2024, Madhya Pradesh: In July 2024, at a meeting in Dhar, T. Raja Singh gave a speech to target Muslim worship and promote anti -Muslim conspiracy principles, which was considered to be violence.
Population and statement on Hindu Prime Minister in 2024: In December 2024, T. Raja Singh said that if the population of “jihadis” continues to grow, there will be no Hindu Prime Minister in India. This statement also created a lot of controversy.
Having hate speech on social media: In February 2025, after a report by India Hate Lab, Meta removed two Facebook groups and three Instagram accounts associated with T. Raja Singh, as they had given 32 hate speeches, out of which 22 had to incite violence.
