Firing in Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple Complex in Spanish Fork
The ISKCON temple has been targeted once again in the US. The criminals now fired several rounds targeting the ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Temple located in Spanish Fork in Utah. This temple is famous globally for its annual Holi festival. For several days, 20 to 30 bullets were fired in the temple premises at night, causing a lot of damage to the temple.
Firing on temple building also
According to ISKCON, 20 to 30 bullets were fired at the temple building and nearby property at night, while devotees and guests were inside. Thousands of dollars have been damaged in the incident, including the complex hand carved arches of the temple.
Appeal to take quick action
India’s Consul General in San Francisco posted on X, “We strongly condemn the recent firing incident at ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork in Utah. The consulate gives full support to all devotees and community and urges local authorities to take quick action to bring criminals to the dock of justice.”
Earlier, the temple was attacked in California
According to temple officials, a similar incident took place on 9 March this year at Chino Hills, California, Bochan resident Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) was also at the Hindu Temple. The temple was deserted a few days before the so -called ‘Khalistani Referendum’ in Los Angeles.
BAPS official American page shared details of the incident of March 9 on the social media platform X and emphasized the flexibility of the community. BAPS Public Affairs wrote, “Chino Hills, despite another temple insult in California, the Hindu community stands firm against hatred … our general humanity and belief will ensure that peace and compassion remain.”
Attacks on other Hindu temples also
The Coalition of Hinduj of North America also mentioned the incident on X and connected it to the growing anti -Hindu spirit. He also reported that the sabotage took place just before the ‘Khalistan Public Collection’ employed in Los Angeles. COHNA posted, “Another Hindu temple was vandalized, this time the iconic Baps Temple in Chino Hills, California … is not surprising, it is not a matter of the so -called ‘Khalistan Public Collection’ in Los Angeles,” he sought an inquiry, listing other recent temple attacks since 2022.
Last year, on the night of 25 September, BAPS Sri Swaminarayan Temple was also targeted in Sacramento, California. The incident took place just after a similar attack on the BAPS temple in New York. During these attacks, messages such as “go back to Hindus” were found to be written, causing deep concern in the local Hindu community.
