India vs england: A new challenge may arise for Team India amid tour of England. England’s senior fast bowler Mark Wood, who has been suffering from a long time, is expected to return to the fourth Test. England selectors have given positive updates on his recovery status. If everything goes well, Woods can create difficulties for Indian batsmen.
Before Team India’s tour of England The England cricket team seems to get a big relief. Fast bowler Mark Wood’s return to the Test team is believed to be almost certain. Woods were injured for the last four months and after knee surgery, they have started light training.
Speaking to Sky Sports, England selector Luke Wright said that Wood is currently bowling with a few steps, but this is a big sign in his rehab. It is expected that he can return to the team till the fourth or fifth Test, although his fitness is being monitored every day.
On the other hand, Jofra Archer is also recovering from the thumb injury during the IPL. Wright has told that Archer is currently playing some matches with the second team of Sussex and if everything goes well then they can be available till the second Test.
At the same time, England have suffered another setback before the first Test. Fast bowler Gas Atkinson has been out of the initial match due to Hamstring injury. He has returned to Jamie Olerton’s Test team after three years. Now the responsibility of England’s pace attack for the first Test will be on bowlers like Josh Tung, Chris Woakes, Broadon Cars and Sam Cook.
