Srinagar, 20 October (Hindustan Reporter). A terrorist attack took place in Gagangir area of Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday night. Six people have died in this attack, while 5 people have been injured. All the injured have been referred to Srinagar Medical College.
It is being told that tunnel construction work was going on under the Central Government scheme in Gagangir area and laborers were engaged in the work. Then the terrorist attack happened. All those who died are non-local labourers. Immediately after the attack, security forces surrounded the entire area. A search operation is being conducted to catch the attackers. IG Police Kashmir VK Birdi is present at the spot.
The area where the terrorist attack took place falls in Ganderbal assembly constituency of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. CM Omar Abdullah has condemned this attack and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
