Three terrorists killed on 28 July in Operation Mahadev were not local, but Pakistanis. The security agency official has given this information to the news agency PTI on the basis of evidence. The official said that the 6 evidence found from the terrorists and the encounter site has made it clear that they were from Pakistan.
Security forces from the encounter site found other evidence including Pakistani voter ID from the terrorists. The security agency matched these evidences at Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Voter ID of terrorists, biometric records were matched by the details released by the Government of Pakistan. These include satellite phones and GPS data. The official said- These evidence proves the Pakistani citizenship of the terrorists.

Three Pakistani militants were killed in an encounter with security forces on July 28 in Harwan area near Dachigam National Park in Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. The army took this action under Operation Mahadev.

On July 29, the next day of the encounter, Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed about the death of the terrorists of Pahalgam attack in the Lok Sabha. He had told that the terrorists who had killed 26 of our tourists in Baysaran Valley of Pahalgam were killed on July 28 in Operation Mahadev.
