Tharoor said- working in the interest of the country is not anti-party

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, who went on a US visit to the Government of India’s delegation, reacted to the anti -party rhetoric on Thursday. He said- Those who consider working in the national interest as anti-party activity, should question themselves.

Tharoor gave this answer on the question of speculation of leaving the Congress. He said- When you are serving the country, then you should not care much about such things. Our political differences end as soon as they go outside the border of India. We are first Indians as soon as we cross the border.

Tharoor is on an American tour these days, where he is leading the multi -party delegation made on Operation Sindoor. On speaking in support of the government, Congress leader Udit Raj described Tharoor as a BJP super spokesperson.

Tharoor said on Trump- India does not need anyone’s advice
Throor said on the statement of US President Donald Trump’s arbitration between Indo-Pak- I have not come here to air any dispute. The US President is respected. We do not know what he said to Pakistan, but we did not need anyone’s advice.

We said on the first day that if Pakistan attacks, we will answer more vigorously. And if he stops, then we will also stop.

India gave strict reply during Operation Sindoor
Tharoor said that after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April, India had air strikes on terrorist bases in Pakistan and POK on 7 May. Pakistan tried to attack Indian military bases on 8, 9 and 10 May, which India strictly responded. On May 10, action was stopped after the DGMO talks of the two countries.

Center sent Tharoor to brief the world on Operation Sindoor
The Modi government at the Center has sent 7 delegation to different countries of the world to present India’s favor against Operation Sindoor and terrorism. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor is leading a delegation. This delegation will visit the US, Guyana, Panama, Brazil and Columbia.

Apart from Tharoor, delegation included LJP MP Shambhavi Chaudhary, JMM MP Sarfaraz Ahmed, TDP GM Harish Balayogi, BJP’s Shashank Mani Tripathi, Tejashwi Surya and Bhubaneswar’s Lata, Shiv Sena’s Mallikarjun Deora, former Indian Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Shiv Sena MP Milindu Milinda Deora in America.

Congress objected to Tharoor’s name in delegation
On May 17, the central government released the names of MPs leading 7 delegation going worldwide. It was the name of Congress only MP Shashi Tharoor. The Congress then said that it did not name the Center to Tharoor.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh wrote on X, ‘On Friday (May 16), Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju spoke to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. He sought the name of 4 MPs for delegation to be sent abroad. The Congress gave the names of Anand Sharma, Gaurav Gogoi, Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain and Raja Brar.
