What happened in Thailand?
The incident is of June 2108, on 23 June 2018, Thailand’s junior association football team was busy practicing with its coach. During this time he entered Tham Luang cave. The cave was not only long but there was also water all around it. Although initially there was no danger in this cave. But shortly after the team entered the cave, it started raining and the cave was filled with water. Due to which all the exit routes were closed.

Slowly the cave started filling with water. The team members remained trapped in the cave for more than a week. After this people gave up hope of his survival. But the rescue team did not lose hope. Nine days later, two British divers reached the cave. Then they saw that the children were present on a high rock in a cave filled with water. After this the actual rescue operation started.

How did you come out?
The rescue operation continued for 17 days. The rescue team considered several options. This also included a plan to provide remote diving training to children. But this was quite difficult. The most difficult thing was that it was the month of July and if heavy rains had started then all hopes of rescue would have been dashed, so the work started rapidly.

After making a complete map of the interior, 18 rescue divers were sent into the caves to save the children. The boys were asked to wear special wetsuits. Oxygen cylinder was installed. Each child was tied to a diver. However, it took 6 to 8 hours to rescue each stranded member. The mission was completed by 10 July. The coach along with 12 children trapped in the cave also came out safely.

How did the children survive in the cave?
The biggest question is how the children survived in the cave for so long. So the answer is team coach Ikapol Chanthavong. He was earlier a Buddhist monk. Ikapol Chanthavong has spent his time in the monastery for almost a decade. Because of this he knew how to survive even in difficult situations. He also started training the children trapped in the cave. He taught him to meditate. Along with this, he taught the children to maintain oxygen in the body by taking small breaths.
