Car News Desk – Dacia has showcased the new Bigster SUV in the global market, which is known as Renault Duster in the Indian market. The company has built it on the CMF-B platform and it has become slightly larger in size. Major changes have been made to the exterior and interior of the SUV, which is currently showcased only in a 5-seater layout. However, the new generation Renault Duster may be launched in India as a three-row SUV. The company can offer 6 and 7-seater seating arrangement in the new Duster ready for the country. It is going to compete with cars like Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700.

What does Bigster look like?
The Dacia Bigster looks very similar to the Duster SUV, including the headlamps with Y-shaped DRLs and the associated grille. The front bumper of the SUV has a different design and unlike the Duster, it comes with black cladding and a redesigned air dam. The Bigster is 227 mm longer than the Duster and has black cladding on its wheel arches. Door handles are provided near the windows on its rear doors. If we look at the rear, the taillights are old and there are minor changes in the bumper too. The company has given 17 and 18 inch alloy wheels in it.

Lots of features at low price
The cabin of Dacia Bigster is similar to Renault Duster, which has a 10.1-inch central infotainment display. Just below this is the center console of the car. Along with giving copper shade to the AC vents of the SUV, the company has given Y-shaped detail. The company has given customers the option of 7 and 10 inch digital instrument displays to choose from. Other features of the SUV include panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver seat, dual zone climate control, electric tailgate and wireless charging.

How powerful will the engine be?
Dacia has introduced the Bigster SUV with strong hybrid and mild hybrid engine options. Its strong hybrid model generates power of around 155 BHP, while the 1.2-litre engine has a mild hybrid system which generates 140 BHP. Renault claims that the 1.2-litre engine found in the Bigster will also run on LPG and once fully charged, it can be driven up to 1,450 km. There is no information yet about whether diesel engine option will be given with it in the Indian market or not. Let us tell you that this SUV will not run on LPG in our country, if the company provides this engine in it then perhaps it will run on CNG.
