After 11 years, Bairstow was seen with the ball and putting off -spin. Fans were surprised to see this new role of Bairstow.
England wicketkeeper batsman Johnny Bairstow is once again in the headlines, but this time the reason is not his batting, but bowling. Bairstow bowled after 11 years in the match played between Yorkshire and Nottinghamor at the County Championship. In the last over of the match, he spent six runs from off -spin.
The match was moving towards the draw and in such a situation Bairstow hit the ball in laughter, but on social media it is being seen as a trial of his ‘new role’. Yorkshire has also shared this video on its official X (former Twitter) handle.

Significantly, the last time India played a Test at the grounds of Edgbaston in England, then in the same match, Bairstow scored centuries in both innings and gave England victory in the biggest runchase of Test history. But after that injuries and poor forms dropped him out of the team.
This season he played a few matches as a replacement in the IPL for Mumbai Indians, scoring 85 runs at a strike rate of 184.78. Now it has to be seen whether his ‘all -rounder’ signs in the county are able to reach the door of the England Test team again.
