The demand for independence movement in East Pakistan began to intensify and Mukti Vahini was built. This Mukti Vahini was fighting for freedom against the Pakistani army. In such a situation, Pakistan sent its army to East Pakistan, who defeated Bengali citizens. Somewhere college students were shot and some women were raped.

Mukti Vahini was being supported by the Government of India. At the same time, India wanted that Pakistan which is being oppressed on Bengali citizens, should be resolved. Meanwhile, Operation Genghis Khan was run by Pakistan, after which Pakistan’s Air Force attacked the Indian territory. As a result, the Indian Army started the war on both fronts. Pakistan faced defeat in this war and on 16 December 1971, the Pakistani Army surrendered in Dhaka. Explain that 93,000 armed troops of the Pakistani Army surrendered.
