Actually, the Gujarat government has approved the Namo Shakti Expressway and Somnath-Dwarka Expressway. The tender work of this expressway is expected to be completed in six months. After that its construction will start. With this, the distance from Ahmedabad to Somnath will be fixed in 4 hours. Travel time will decrease by up to 30% due to expressway.
Let us tell you that this year it was announced to construct both these expressways in the budget. Now its approval has been received. The tensher of these two expressways will be completed in 6 months. The construction is then expected to be completed within 36 months. Highways will be developed under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. In a recent high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, the project was reviewed and the officials were directed to start ground work at the earliest. The purpose of both expressways is to strengthen the east-west and north-south contact of Gujarat.
These tourist places will join the expressway
The new expressway will include industrial centers and tourist destinations such as Ambaji, Dharoi, Polo Forest, Modhera, Bacharaji, Jamnagar, Dwarka, Porbandar and Somnath. With this, connectivity from major industrial areas including Bavla, Sanand, Rajkot-Shapar, Porbandar-Codinar and Dholera will be better.

Districts which will be connected: Amreli, Botad, Surendranagar, Patan, Banaskantha, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Morbi, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh and Gir Somnath.
42 interchange will be made on expressway
About 42 interchange will be created to ensure the exposure to the expressway. In addition, roadside facilities including parking, toilets, quality food and beverage shops, fuel stations, medical services and other necessary facilities will be provided for light and heavy vehicles every 50 km with highways. The expressway will include overpasses and underpasses, so that wherever necessary, the facility of safe wildlife crossing can be available.
