Cricket South Africa has released the list of players for the SA20 season 4 auction. This time more than 800 players had registered, but 541 players have got a place in the final list. Surprisingly, it is not included in the name of any Indian player.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday released the final list of players for the fourth season auction of the SA20 League. This time the tournament saw record registration of the players, where more than 800 cricketers gave their names. However, according to media reports, only 541 players have been shortlisted in the final list.
According to media reports, 13 Indian players also applied for auction, including names like experienced leg -spinner Piyush Chawla and fast bowler Siddharth Kaul. But the name of any Indian player is not included in the CSA final list.
Out of 541 players, 300 players are from South Africa while 241 foreign players have been shortlisted. The list includes big names like Bangladesh veteran all -rounder Shakib Al Hasan and England veteran fast bowler James Anderson. Apart from these, England’s T20 World Cup winning players Alex Hales and Moin Ali, SA20 season 2 final Hero Tom Ebel and former champion players Edam Rosington, Jordan Cox and Daniel Wraul are also present in the list.
This time the under-23 segment has also been added to the auction, which will only include young players from South Africa. Names such as Davold Bravis, Quenna Mafaka and Endile Sigrane among the SA20 Rising Stars are eligible for this category.
A total of 84 slots will be filled in this auction, out of which 25 will be reserved for foreign players. For this, an amount of US $ 7.37 million has been fixed. The auction will be held on 9 September in Johannesburg. The tournament will begin on 26 December 2025 and will continue with exciting matches till the new year.
