GE Aerospace said on Thursday that it is ready to cooperate with Air India to investigate the plane crash in Ahmedabad. A GE Aerospace spokesman said in a statement, “We have activated our emergency response team. We are ready to cooperate in our customer and investigation. We are extremely saddened by Air India flight AI171 crash. We express our condolences to the affected families and loved ones.”
Tata Group announces compensation
Apart from 12 Indian crew members, the aircraft had 169 Indian passengers, 53 British passengers, 7 Portuguese travele and 1 Canadian passenger. Air India parent company Tata Group has announced a compensation of Rs 1-1 crore to those killed in the accident. Along with this, the company has said that they will also bear the entire expenses for the treatment of the injured.
