Actress Usha Nadkarni, who won the hearts of people with her strong acting in the hit TV show Pritha Rishta with late Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande, has shared the lines of her life. Veteran actress Usha Nadkarni recently shared some heartbreaking memories of her early life in Mumbai. The 79-year-old actress who has won hearts with her powerful on-screen appearance, while speaking on the podcast of Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachia, revealed the dark and painful side of her childhood.

Childhood spent in strict environment

Usha Nadkarni said that she grew up in a very strict house, her mother was strict and her father, whose violent nature made life very difficult for her and her siblings. His father, who was an officer in the Indian Air Force, was a very angry nature, while his mother worked as a school teacher. Despite discipline in his profession, his house was always full of fear. The actress remembered how her father lost control over very small things. Her mother tried to convince her, warning that she would only have to buy new products, but her father rarely listened.

Father used to beat anything

The actress said that her father often used anything to beat her. Once, he attacked his brother so badly that he fainted. One more time when he tried to save his father, his father hit him with a Koita (a sharp, curved knife), injuring his hand. She told that she had a play the next day, but despite the wound, she went to perform on stage the next day. He told that he and his siblings lived in the house in constant panic. Whenever one child was punished, the rest would hide. However, after such violent explosions, his father sometimes tried to make up for it by purchasing ice cream, as if his guilt softens them for a while.

The dream was in the dream of becoming an actress

Nadkarni also said that her desire to become an actress also faced resistance. His parents strongly opposed his ambition. In fact, when he first expressed his wish, his mother threw his clothes out of the house and asked him to leave. Usha had to stay at a friend’s house until her father brought him back home after a week. But the atmosphere remained stressful, and she was so afraid of her father that if her friends came to ask her for a small thing like a picnic, she would hide them. Today, at the age of 79, Usha Nadkarni lives alone in Mumbai. He recently lost his brother, which was always his biggest support. Despite the painful memories of childhood, Usha has made a successful acting career and her flexibility and courage are praised. Their journey is proof that the determination and passion can lead to success even after facing the most difficult challenges.
