The first test of Indian Air Defense Wealth System Success

The Indian Defense Research Organization (DRDO) has conducted the first test of the Integrated Air Defense Weight System (IADWS) on the coast of Odisha. It is a multilayer air defense system, which includes all indigenous Quick Action Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM), Advanced Vary Short Air Defense System Missiles (VSHorads) and High Power Laser based Energy Weapon (Dew).

The test was conducted on Saturday (23 August). Defense Minister Rajnath Singh gave this information in a post on X. He wrote- This test has increased the multi-layer air defense capability of our country. This system will strengthen the regional defense against the enemy’s air threats.

The IADWS is considered a part of the Sudarshan Chakra Mission. It will become a defense shield against drone attacks (many drones left together). PM Narendra Modi announced the Sudarshan Chakra Mission on 15 August in his speech from the Red Fort.

Target 3 targets together

During the test, the system attacked three different targets including 2 high speed-fixed wing unmanded drones, multi-copter drones. All three targets were at different distances and height. The three of these three were completely destroyed by IADWS.

The concept of the system has been prepared in such a way that the first radar unit monitors and classify them. After this, the command center instructs the Quick Action Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) for high altitude hazards.

Advanced Vary Short Air Defense System missiles (VSHORADS) are activated for low range and slow attacks. Along with this, laser -based energy weapons (Dew) attack for drone and chip saturated attacks.

The successful testing of this system will reduce India’s dependence on foreign defense systems like Igla and CIWS.

India has Akashlir Defense System

The air defense system that PM Modi praised from Adampur Airbase in Punjab on 13 May is India’s Akash Tarir Command and Control System. Hundreds of drones, missiles and rockets coming from Pakistan were killed in the air during Operation Sindoor. It has been called the iron dome of India.

Akashtir is an indigenous Artificial Intelligence-Powered Air Defense System that has jointly designed and developed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for the Indian Army.

Its task is to monitor low-level aircraft and control the air defense weapon system posted on the ground. Akashtir forms a single network by integrating radar, sensor and communication systems, which is capable of detecting, tracking and neutralizing air threats in real time.
