• Patna: The Bihar government has made major changes in the geography and administrative boundaries of Danapur, Khagaul and Phulwarisharif Municipal Councils adjacent to the capital Patna. These proposals have been approved in the state cabinet meeting, under which new areas have been added to these bodies. Additional Chief Secretary of Cabinet Department, Dr. S. Siddharth shared this information.
  • Danapur Municipal Council included 9 villages
  • Danapur Municipal Council has now become further expanded. A total of 9 nearby villages have been included in this council, which has increased its total area to 23.14 square kilometers. Under this new expansion, the total population here has now increased to 1,95,564, which is based on the 2011 census.

  • Faridanpur
  • Manpura
  • Jamsaut (partial)
  • Dhibra
  • Kothwan
  • Mustafapur (partial)
  • Bubbakpur
  • Ashopur (partial)
  • Naseerpur
  • With this expansion, the geographical boundaries of Danapur have also changed. Now its:
  • North: Ganga River and Flood Safety Dam
  • South: Khagaul Municipal Council, Adampur Khurd, Adampur, Lakhnibigaha, Badlupura, Chhoti Khagaul etc.
  • in the East: Patna Canal-Digha, Sikanderpur, Rukanpura, Jalalpur, Hadaspura, Dhanaut
  • Western: Usri Road-Jammasut, Mobarakpur, Chitavan
  • Khagaul Municipal Council area now 9.40 sq km
  • There has also been a big expansion in the area of ​​Khagaul Municipal Council. Now its total area is 9.40 sq km. It has now joined a population of 65,451 people, which is according to the 2011 census.

  • Phulwarisharif Municipal Council has also changed a lot. Now its area is 16.51 square kilometers. It includes Kurakuri, Bhusula Danapur, Nohsa and Nawada villages. With this, a population of 1,13,594 people has come under the purview of Phulwarisharif Municipal Council.

  • North: Saidpura, Sabjpura, Khalilpura
  • South: Alampur Gonpura, Hinduni, Ismailpur Dhibada

  • The state government has also made a major change in the dress distribution of Anganwadi children. Now the children will not be transferred directly to their parents’ bank accounts. Instead, these money will be given to the organization of livelihoods, which will prepare and distribute the dress of the children.
  • Each child will be given a pair of dress.
  • The ₹ 400 per dress has been fixed, which will increase by 5% every year.
