The journey from Mathura-Agra to Bareilly will be completed in just 2.5 hours, know when the project will be completed
 
                
National highways authority of india (NHAI) has accelerated the work of Agra-Bareilly Expressway. 30 percent of the second phase of this green corridor has been completed. The construction of the Agra-Bareilly Green Corridor project is expected to be completed in 2027. After the completion of this project, the journey from Agra to Bareilly will be completed in 2.5 hours, which takes 5 to 6 hours. This corridor will get full benefit to Agra as well as Mathura. The green corridor will start from Mathura and go to Bareilly via Hathras, Kasganj and Badaun.
50 percent work of 66 km long road from Mathura to Hathras completed
Under this project, a 228 km long 4 -lane green corridor is being built from Agra to Bareilly, which costs Rs 7700 crore. In the first phase of this project, 50 percent of the 66 km long road from Mathura to Hathras has been completed and it has also been opened for traffic. Whereas in the second phase, 30 percent of the 57 km long road between Hathras to Kasganj has been completed. After which, 46 km from Kasganj to Badaun and 59 km roads from Badaun to Bareilly, whose construction work has also been started.
20 flyover, 26 underpasses to be built on expressway
The total length of the Agra-Bareilly Green Expressway will be 228 km. There will be a total of 20 flyover, 26 underpasses, 5 large bridges and 6 rail over bridge on this expressway. An official of the Badaun section of the Agra-Bareilly Expressway said that in the second phase, 30 percent of the road has been completed on the 57 km long section between Hathras to Kasganj. He informed that this section 57 km long will be completed in 1 year and the work of the entire corridor will be completed in 2027. After which the journey from Mathura and Agra to Bareilly will be only two and a half hours.
