Karnal, November 14 (IANS). An encounter took place between miscreants and police in Bambhrehari village in Karnal, Haryana. During this time, taking advantage of the opportunity, the miscreants fled with the police vehicle. Later, one was caught by the police while the search for the other is going on.
In fact, on November 1 last, miscreants had fired in broad daylight at the house of a female sarpanch of a village in Munak police station area of Karnal, in which the father-in-law of the female sarpanch was shot and seriously injured.
Assandh CIA team was conducting raids to arrest the accused in the case. Meanwhile, late on Thursday night the police got information about the miscreants being in Panipat.
Assandh CIA team went to Panipat to catch the miscreants. During this, the miscreants opened fire on a CIA police employee and fled from there with his personal car. After this, during the blockade, miscreants also attacked the police in Karnal, out of which one miscreant was shot in retaliation and the other miscreant managed to escape from there. The police team is busy searching for the absconding criminal.
It is being told that during the encounter, miscreants had fired on the vehicle of Karnal Civil Line Incharge on the Western Yamuna Bypass of Karnal. The miscreants left their bike and fled with the police’s personal black Scorpio.
Regarding the entire matter, CIA in-charge Anil Kumar said that two accused in the case, Suresh and Sawan, were absconding. Our team was behind this. In Panipat, criminals opened fire on our head constable and injured him, who has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
He further told that the miscreants were on a motorcycle. Left the motorcycle and ran towards Karnal with the police Scorpio. A blockade was set up to catch them. During this time one accused was caught, while one managed to escape.
