This happens many times when there is more load on the UPI server. Many customers try to pay again when this happens and that too does not process. Apart from this, many times it happens that after some time both the transactions are completed and the person in front receives money twice. If something like this happens to you, then there is no need to panic. We will tell you how to get the money cut off from the account?
Take care while paying
While making UPI payment, if you ever cut the money from your account and the person in front does not get it, then you need to be a little restrained. Many times the transaction does not progress when the load on the server is high. You should stop for some time before doing transactions again. If the money is deducted from your account and the transaction has failed, then the money comes back in the account automatically. For this you will have to wait for up to 24 hours. Usually, money gets refunded after some time. However, sometimes it happens that you may have to wait long.
How to get money back?
If you do UPI transactions with Paytm, Google Pay, PhonePe, BHIM or any other app, then you get the option to report unsuccessful transactions. You can file your complaint by visiting the help center of the app. After registering the complaint, you may have to wait for 24 to 72 hours. If the status of UPI transactions is successful or unsuccessful than pending, then only go to the help section of the app. You will have to wait until the transactions with pending status are settled.
Even after registering a complaint in the app, if the money is not returned to your account, then you have to file a complaint in the bank with the transaction number. The bank will check the transaction and refund you the money within 30 days. If the bank does not return the money of any transaction even after this, then you will have to contact the RBI in such a situation.
