Tech News Desk – A great feature for group chat is coming in WhatsApp. With the introduction of this feature, users will be able to mention group chat in status updates. WABetaInfo has given information about this new feature coming in WhatsApp. WABetaInfo has spotted this feature in WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.24.21 available on Google Play Store. You can see this feature in the shared screenshot. In this you can see that the company is preparing to provide a new feature of mentioning group chat in the status update. After the introduction of this feature, users will be able to notify all the members of the group simultaneously. The new feature will eliminate the need to mention all the members of the group separately in the status update. Currently, the company is giving the option to mention maximum 5 individual contacts for status updates.
After enabling the Group Mention feature, users will be able to inform all the members of the group about the status update at once. With group mentions, users won’t need to adjust privacy settings to show status updates to a specific contact. Status updates from group mention will automatically be visible to all group members. This has no connection with the existing settings of WhatsApp. According to the report, with the introduction of this feature, users sending direct messages will get a lot of convenience because they will be able to message all the members of the group at once.
Stable update may roll out soon
Nothing can be said with certainty yet about the limitations of this new feature of WhatsApp. It is believed that the company can decide the number of users eligible for mention. However, it would not be right to say anything about this right now. Currently this feature is under development and after the completion of beta testing, its stable version can be rolled out for global users.
