The number of vehicles passing through Gorakhpur Link Expressway declines, distance from toll
Gorakhpur Link Expressway: Bhagwanpur toll plaza of Link Expressway in Gorakhpur in eastern Uttar Pradesh has been operational for common people. Toll tax is being recovered from all vehicles passing through this toll plaza. Along with the car, two-wheeler, auto rickshaws and tractors have to pay toll to cross Bhagwanpur toll plaza. Therefore, the number of vehicles passing through Bhagwanpur toll plaza of Link Expressway is seen to fall.
Large drop in number of bikes passing through Link Expressway
The toll tax of the car passing through Bhagwanpur toll plaza is being cut off from fastag, while other vehicles such as two-wheelers, auto rickshaws and autos have to pay toll in cash. After the recovery of toll tax, the movement of bikes, autos and tractors from here has reduced considerably. Earlier, more than 1000 bikes passed daily from here, the number of which has now come down to about 250-300. Like the bike, there has been a major decline in the number of auto rickshaws and tractors and now they are using other routes.
Auto rickshaw drivers are charging toll money from ride
Now only those auto rickshaws are passing through the toll plaza, who are carrying the reserve ride and the auto rickshaw drivers are paying the toll from the passengers. Auto drivers are sitting on the condition that they will have to reserve the auto and also pay tolls. Auto rickshaws carrying rides in sharing have almost stopped passing through here.
Link Expressway gets directly connecting 4 districts of UP from Purvanchal Expressway
The Gorakhpur Link Expressway, built at a cost of Rs 7283.28 crore, begins near Jaitpur in Gorakhpur and ends in Salarpur in Azamgarh. These expressways are directly met by Purvanchal Express connecting 4 districts of UP- Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar and Azamgarh. Let us tell you that Gorakhpur Link Expressway is a state highway, which comes under the state government. No toll is charged from two -wheelers on the National Highway under the Central Government.
