Death due to negligence of a doctor.
Central Pada: A shocking case has come to light in Aul police station area of Kendrapada district of Odisha. A 22 -year -old youth of Bharatpur village went to get treatment for treatment at a medical store in Singiri Bazar here. Prashant Sahu went to treat the foot sprain in a medical store named ‘Annapurna Medical Hall’, but was injected there. He died after injection.
There was a light sprain in the leg
After the incident, Prashant’s father artist Sahu told that his son had a slight sprain. He was talking about going to the doctor, but reached the medical store in the nearby Singiri Bazar on Friday at the behest of a friend. There, the owner of the medical hall Sanjay Patra gave two injections to Prashant without the advice of any doctor. As soon as the injection started, Prashant started vomiting and had severe chest pain.
Death in district hospital
He was then immediately taken to Pattamundai’s Government Health Center. Artist Sahu alleges that the doctors there did not take Prashant’s position seriously and advised him to return home. Prashant’s condition deteriorated and was rushed to Central Pada District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Father accused of negligence
Artist Sahu said, “My son had no illness. He was absolutely fine. He said that he would show the doctor, but in a hurry, he went to the medical store with a friend. Two injections were given there, after which his condition deteriorated. The doctor also was negligent in Pattamundai and sent him back. By the time we reached Kendrapada, it was too late.”
Accused doctor absconding
After the incident, Sanjay Patra, the owner of the medical store, has escaped. There is a lot of resentment among the local people after this incident. Prashant’s family has demanded justice. At present, the police has registered a case and the search for the accused medical store owner is going on. There is an atmosphere of deep concern and resentment about this incident in the entire area. (Input- Shubham Kumar)
