It is touching the hearts of the audience with its simplicity. This actor, who works with acting veterans, is well educated. This actor came in films after studying from IIT, but Jitendra Kumar, Secretary of ‘Panchayat’, is Jitendra Kumar. Today he is one of OTT’s most favorite faces in the world, but his journey is not only associated with acting, but his educational background and conflict are equally inspiring.

Childhood and studies- from a small village to IIT

Born on 1 September 1990 in Khairthal, a small village in Alwar district of Rajasthan, Jitendra Kumar was inclined towards acting since childhood. He used to imitate Shah Rukh Khan, Nana Patekar and Amitabh Bachchan and entertain the family and friends, but he topped the studies as well as this passion of acting. His father sent him a quota so that he could prepare for the IIT entrance exam, and Jitendra, while meeting everyone’s expectations, enrolled in Civil Engineering in IIT Kharagpur. While studying in IIT, his tendency deepened towards the theater. He joined the Hindi Technology Dramatic Society, where he met Biswati Sarkar, the future creative director of the future of TVF. It was from here that his acting journey took a real flight.

First step towards acting and initial conflict

After graduating from IIT in 2012, Jitendra decided to join the TVF. However, the path of this decision was not easy. Initially, he had to struggle for both screen time and opportunity. After some time, he started the job of engineer in a multinational company in Bangalore, keeping acting aside, but Kismet had something else. A tvf sketch ‘Munna Jazbati’, in which he played the role of a very emotional trainee, went viral on the internet. After this unexpected success, Jitendra quit his job in eight months and came to Mumbai and chose the path of full -time acting.

Ott stardom and popularity

Mumbai’s life was not easy. He started giving IIT JEE coaching to students to run expenses. He himself had said, ‘I took out my old notes, started studying again and used to teach children on Sunday, acting the rest of the time.’ Gradually, Jitendra worked in many popular web shows with TVF, such as ‘TVF pitchers’, ‘Bachelor’, ‘Bisht Please!’, ‘Fathers’ and ‘Emachor’, but from the real identity they got from ‘Kota Factory’, in which he played the role of ‘Jeetu Bhaiya’. An inspirational teacher who emerged as a guide in the lives of students.

Great work done in these films

After this, the 2020 web series ‘Panchayat’ increased his popularity manifold. In this show based on the background of rural India, he won the hearts of audiences across the country by playing the role of simple, honest and sensitive secretary Abhishek Tripathi. He is now one of the highest fees of OTT platforms. Even though OTT has given him recognition, Jitendra has also been continuously active in films. He made his debut in 2014 with the film ‘Khel Ka Interval’ and after that he has also made his mark in ‘Gon Kesh’, ‘Shubh Mangal more careful’, ‘magician’ and recent film ‘Dry Day’. Recently he appeared in ‘Panchayat Season 4’, in which his acting was highly appreciated.
