The tension of those driving on the highway is over, this app will tell where the lowest will be

The large tension of those carrying the car on the highway is about to end. Soon you will see the option of the lowest toll route in the NHAI highway travel app. The National Highway Authority of India is going to add toll tax indicator feature to its official highway travel app. In this app, users will get information about the lowest toll tax route between one city to the other. According to PTI report, a senior NHAI official has given this information.

NHAI’s app will tell which way will be the lowest toll

NHAI launched the highway app in 2023. Through this app, users get information about the facilities available on the Indian National Highway etc. Now this app will also get information about toll tax levied between one place to another. Also, it will also get information about the lowest toll tax highways between any two places.

Giving an example, the Chief Product Officer of the Skilled Transport System (ITS) of the Indian Highway Management Company (IHMCL), Amrit Singh said that there are three ways to travel from Delhi to Lucknow and the app will help passengers to choose the best way. Singh said, “You can travel from Delhi to Lucknow via Yamuna Expressway, or you can travel via Ghaziabad-Aligarh-Kanpur-Lucknow or travel via Moradabad-Bareilly-Sitapur-Sitapur-Lucknow. The app will tell the drivers about the lowest toll route between Delhi and Lucknow. ”

How to apply for early fastag?

NHAI has recently announced the annual pass of Fastag. It will get an annual pass of Rs 3,000. Through this pass 200 toll-free trips can be done on any highway. This pass will be valid for up to a year. This new rule related to Fastag is going to be implemented since 15 August 2025. If a train completes 200 toll free trips before the nearby expiry on the highway, then the fastag will have to be recharged again. This pass will only work on the toll plaza that is authorized by the National Highways Authority. This pass will not work at the toll plaza of state governments.

• To apply this annual pass, users have to go to the NHAI website or highway app.
• After this, the details of the active Fastag linked with the RC of the vehicle will have to be confirmed.
• Then one-time fee of Rs 3,000 will have to be paid.
• After the verification process and payment is completed, Fastag pass will be received annually.
