After this, Vivek Ranjan Aginhotri decided to launch the trailer of the film at a private hotel in Kolkata itself. But there was a ruckus during the trailer launch here too. Due to Vivek, all the screen wires were cut off in the program itself and the trailer launch was stopped.

The trailer of the controversial film ‘The Bengal Files’ based on the 1946 Calcutta riots is taking place in Kolkata. At the same time, after the Kolkata Police stopped the screening of the trailer of ‘The Bengal Files’, director Vivek Agnihotri alleged that the democratic rights of the people were being attacked.
According to reports, Vivek Agnihotri surrounded the West Bengal government and said, “Law and order in your state has collapsed and that is why everyone is supporting ‘The Bengal files’.” I have just come to know that some people came to the hotel to the venue and cut all the wires.
He said, I do not know on whose order it is happening? You know who are behind us. This program was being held after all the investigation. Hotel managers are still unable to tell us why we are not being allowed to continue our program.
The Bengal files have been written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. It is produced by Abhishek Aggarwal and Pallavi Joshi. It will feature Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher and Darshan Kumar. The film is set to release in theaters on 5 September 2025.
