There is good news for the people, Bajaj is bringing the country’s first CNG bike – Auto Khabri
Bajaj CNG Bike: The whole world has been looking for an alternative to petrol and diesel for vehicles for a long time. Of which Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is the best option, because CNG causes a lot of pollution. Today there are many CNG running cars available in the market. But it has not been used in two-wheelers yet. Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj has indicated that this time he will bring a natural gas (CNG) powered bike, which will be Bajaj’s cheapest entry level motorcycle.
Bajaj hints at launching CNG-powered bike
If this plan of Bajaj Auto is successful, then it will be the first company in the world to launch a motorcycle running on CNG fuel. Bajaj Auto has indicated that its petrol engine bike will be launched in India with CNG powertrain. In this context, Rajiv Bajaj told All India News Agency, “Maybe with a little help from the government, Bajaj motorcycles with CNG fuel will significantly reduce the transportation costs of buyers.
It is noteworthy that the government had launched a CNG-powered two-wheeler in Delhi in 2016. This was a pilot project that saw some food delivery companies using CNG-powered Honda Activa scooters on a trial basis.
Bajaj CNG Bike Launch Date
However, Rajiv Bajaj did not give any details about the CNG two-wheeler. In such a situation, it is not possible to say anything definitely about whether CNG engine will be used in their scooter or motorcycle or not. Incidentally, recently the Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) has appealed to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to reduce the GST rate on entry-level two-wheelers as well as CNG vehicles to 18 percent.
It is noteworthy that everyone in the whole world is troubled by the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel. If Bajaj Auto successfully tests a CNG fueled motorcycle and launches the bike, then it will be a revolutionary change for two-wheeler riders all over the world.
