As soon as the illness was detected, her husband and in -laws broke away from her and she remained alone and helpless in Mumbai. There was no money for treatment, there was no place to live nor any support. In 2019, when her condition started deteriorating further, Pooja pleaded for help. He sought help from his old colleagues and Bollywood industry through social media and media channels. When no one came forward to help Pooja, Salman Khan once again introduced his big heart.
