India Canada Relations: The language of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was hostile to India over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, has started changing after the strictness of PM Narendra Modi. In the latest development, Trudeau has admitted that Canada did not have any concrete evidence in the Nijjar killing case, but only intelligence information.

According to India Today report, Justin Trudeau on Wednesday (October 16) admitted that his government did not provide real evidence to India regarding the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. Trudeau, who testified before the foreign interference inquiry, said Canada had only provided intelligence information and no evidence before publicly accusing India of Nijjar’s murder.

‘We asked India to cooperate’

Trudeau said, “Canada asked India to cooperate. Their (India’s) request was to ask for evidence. We asked the Indian security agencies to investigate further and cooperate with us. Because at that time we (Canada) had There was intelligence.”

He said, “I raised this issue with PM Modi at the end of the G-20 and told that we know that India is involved in this. He said that many people in Canada speak against the Indian government and he wants that These people should be arrested.”

Trudeau said that when he returned to Canada from India after the G-20 summit, “it was clear that the Indian government’s approach was to criticize us and the integrity of our democracy.”

Trudeau took the name of Lawrence Bishnoi

Trudeau reiterated his claim to the committee that there was “credible evidence” that Indian agents were involved in Nijjar’s murder. He also named gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who was earlier cited by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for his involvement in Nijjar’s murder. Trudeau alleged that Indian diplomats were collecting information on Canadians and passing it on to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

India showed strictness

The ongoing diplomatic row escalated when India recalled its top envoy to Ottawa late Monday evening and expelled six Canadian diplomats from the country.
