There will be heavy rain all over India

With the arrival of monsoon in India, there is heavy rains in different states. The heavy rains in Uttarakhand and Himachal have wreaked havoc. Due to landslides and floods, people are facing heavy problems. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alert for different states, which has estimated heavy to very heavy rainfall in different parts of the country. Meanwhile, due to many active monsoon systems, there is a possibility of continuous and strong rains in north-west, central, eastern and coastal states.

How will the weather be in Delhi?

Delhi-NCR received heavy rains on Friday night, which brought relief from the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has seen a sudden change in weather conditions in the area and has predicted thunderstorms and sporadic rains in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, between 4 to 6 July, there is a possibility of intermittent rain in the National Capital Region with a slight drop in temperature. Thunderstorms are expected to rain around 5 and 6 July, which will reduce the heat. However, the wind can change during this time.

Possibility of heavy rains in north-west India

The IMD reported that due to active monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation, there is a possibility of extremely heavy rainfall in eastern Rajasthan, while Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana may receive widespread rainfall between July 5 to 9. Rainfall activity is expected to remain at its peak between July 6 to 7 in these areas. Especially in Uttar Pradesh and Jammu region, rain as well as sporadic thunder, electricity and strong winds (30–40 km/h) are expected to run. There is also a danger of flood due to moderate to heavy rains in the mountainous areas.

Possibility of torrential rain in western India

According to the Meteorological Department, the western coastal regions including Konkan, Goa and Ghat areas of Maharashtra are on alert due to moisture from the Arabian Sea and the strong offshore trough. On July 4 and then between 6 to 7 July, especially South Konkan, Goa and Central Maharashtra are forecast of extremely heavy rainfall. Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch also likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains this week. There is a possibility of sudden floods in the low -lying areas of Saurashtra.

Heavy rains estimate in Central and Eastern India

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha due to a strong convergence of the monsoon system. There will be very heavy rainfall in eastern Madhya Pradesh from July 4 to 7, after which there will be heavy rains in western Madhya Pradesh. The rivers and waterlogging in the lower urban areas remain the main concern. Odisha is expected to receive very heavy rains till 5 July. Due to this, there is a threat of floods in urban areas. Apart from this, Chhattisgarh can also receive very heavy rainfall at different places on July 6 and 7. Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal are expected to receive continuous rains with strong winds and thunderstorms till 9 July.

Northeast India: Threat of landslide in Meghalaya

According to the Meteorological Department, rain activity in Northeast India remains active due to cyclonic circulation over Assam. States such as Assam and its neighboring regions are likely to have heavy rains as well as thunderstorms and lightning. On July 6, a high alert has been issued for extremely heavy rain in Meghalaya. The IMD has also issued a warning on the increasing risk of landslides in sensitive hilly areas.

How will the weather be in southern India

Please tell that southern India is also not untouched by the rain. The coastal Karnataka and Kerala are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rains by 9 July. During this time the wind speed can reach 50 km/h and the sea condition may deteriorate. There is a possibility of local flooding in urban centers like Kochi. Apart from this, there will also be different intensity rains in the internal regions of Karnataka, Mahe, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Heavy rain and thunder are estimated in Telangana on 4 July.
