LSG bought Rishabh Pant for Rs 27 crore and made captain. This IPL was the most expensive bid in history. However, his performance in both batting and captaincy was disappointing. He scored just 269 runs in 14 matches, including a century and a half -century.
His average was 24.45 and the strike rate was 133.17. The team could win only 6 out of 14 and was out of the playoff race. In such a situation, before the auction of IPL 2026, changes in the captaincy for all these teams are almost certain.
